Day 5: He Hears You.

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to HIS will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests which we have asked from Him.” 1 John 5:14-15

Do you know that He hears you? That He actually hears your voice and moves! He MOVES at the sound of YOUR voice! Do you believe it? One time someone was praying for me and they asked, “Do you know that He moves at the sound of your voice? Do you know that He cares?” It was one of the most foreign thought to me. Mostly because I prayed so many unanswered prayers, and have been so discouraged by the fact that they haven’t been answered. I never said outright that I was frustrated or angry with God, but in reality if I actually sat down to think about it, I was.
But I began to “believe” a lie. That God doesn’t answer prayers, that He doesn’t hear and that He doesn’t care. But in reality… HE DOES!!! He LONGS to answer your prayers. He LONGS to grant you the desires of your heart!

In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore!” Psalm 16:11

There are pleasures “to infinity and beyond!” as Buzz Lightyear would say. Haha!! I’m a mom of 3 little ones. I couldn’t help myself πŸ˜‰ He holds all the riches of the world in His hand. He is healing, He can do it in a second! And He wants to.

Ask, and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and it will be opened to you. For EVERYONE who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened to him.” Matthew 6:7-8

We just have to keep believing, we have to keep knocking and asking. It’s about persistence. And in His timing, which is definitely not our timing, He will do it. He is moved by our love, by our persistence. He is a good Father who gives good gifts and He will not with hold from those He loves.

This season of us making huge faith jumps has tested us. We have learned many things these past few months… well actually almost a year now! Whoa. Anyway, since moving out of faith and living life completely in His hand, He has proved Himself more than faithful! He LONGS to care for us! He LONGS for relationship with us. Persistent prayer builds relationship, because you are in constant conversation. But it is not a one way street. Sometimes we need to stop and listen and hear what He has to say. Sometimes we have to move out of our comfort zones to receive the blessings He has for us. I think after this challenge I may have to share our testimony of the beginning of the start of our new life adventure.

Now here is my challenge to you. When you pray, pray with confidence and with tenacity knowing that He hears you! Mean what you say and believe that He can do it! It may not happen that moment, in that day or even in the next few months. But know that when He does do it, it is the perfect time for Him to answer your prayer. Because His ways are perfect! And His plan for you is far better than what you could even imagine. He loves you.

Until tomorrow,

Danielle

P.S. Today I did 1 John 5, and since that is the last chapter in 1 John, I will move straight to 2 John for tomorrow πŸ™‚ Blessings!
